2 October 2025
ANGA writes to the President and Board of the Venice Biennale demanding the exclusion of Israel.
17 March 2026
ANGA Letter signed by participants of the 61st Venice Biennale is delivered to the President and Board of the Venice Biennale.
23 April 2026
Jury published a Statement of Intention stating they would “refrain from considering those countries whose leaders are currently charged with crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court.”
30 April 2026
Jury resigns and a Statement of Resignation is published.
6 May 2026
Demonstration held outside the Genocide Pavilion in the Arsenale during the first day of opening week. Documentation and photo album to be added to the Open Letter page.
8 May 2026
24-hour strike for Palestine and workers’ rights and demonstration on Viale Garibaldi followed by a march to the Arsenale.
9 May 2026
Statement of Withdrawal from “Visitor Lion” Awards published with 53 artists and groups from In Minor Keys and 27 national pavilions in solidarity with the resigning jury selected by Koyo Kouoh.
